Squarespace (Website platform and hosting)

Our website is hosted by Squarespace, Inc. Squarespace processes analytics data, serves website content, and stores form submissions. Data is processed on servers in the United States.

The transfer of your data to the US is governed by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Squarespace is certified. This provides a lawful basis for the transfer under UK GDPR.

MailerLite (Email marketing and subscriber management)

We use MailerLite to manage our subscriber list and send email communications. MailerLite acts as a data processor on behalf of Mattmatics Ltd. As a UK-based customer, subscriber data is stored on MailerLite’s EU-based servers and does not leave the EEA.

MailerLite will never rent, sell, or share your data with third parties. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email.

6. Cookies

This website uses cookies — small text files placed on your device. We use two types:

Essential cookies: Required for the website to function. These are set automatically and cannot be disabled.

MailerLite stores subscriber data for UK-based customers within the EU. No transfer outside the EEA takes place for data held by MailerLite on our behalf.

We do not transfer your personal data to any other countries or organisations.

8. Data Retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:

Email address and first name: Newsletter and marketing subscribers:

Retained while you remain subscribed. Deleted within 30 days of unsubscription or upon request.

Website analytics data: Retained by Squarespace for up to 36 months (reflecting the maximum period accessible via Squarespace’s analytics dashboard), after which it is aggregated or deleted in accordance with Squarespace’s data retention policy.

Server log data (IP address, access logs): Retained for up to 90 days for security and fraud prevention purposes, then deleted.

When we no longer have a lawful basis to hold your data, it will be securely deleted or anonymised.

We take the security of your personal data seriously. This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers. Access to personal data held in MailerLite is restricted to authorised personnel only.
